Gauguin is a Sudoku-like game where you solve grids via calculation and logic.

You can use it to relax or to solve difficult grids. Whatever you prefer.

In classic mode, you solve a 9x9 grid by typing a value from 1 to 9 in each cell such as
— Each row and column contains each digit exactly once.
— Each cage meets its given mathematical problem. E.g. a group of cells labeled with '5+' must be filled such that the sum of all digits is 5.

Via game options, you may alter the game to solve other digits, smaller or greater grids, hiding the operators.


<b>Slick and modern UI</b>

— No switching of 'pencil mode' or such thing is needed: To set a value of a cell, just use short-tap to alter a possible value and long-tap for a known value.
— 'Fast Finishing Mode' enables to fill cell with exactly one pencil mark rapidly.
— Uses colors from the painting 'The Siesta' from Paul Gauguin (guess where the app's name comes from…)


<b>Game options</b>

— grid sizes: 3x3 to 11x11 with classic 9x9
— includes rectangular grids, e.g. 7x9
— operations (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
— digits (1 to n, prime numbers, fibonacci sequence etc.)
— difficulty (covering an incresing number of game variants)
— usage of single cages
— show or hide operators


<b>Things still to be done</b>

— not all grid variants get calculated in a reasonable time (e.g. a 4x8 grid will likely need more time than your battery wants to give)
— onboarding is missing a tutorial
— not all game variants have been supplied with difficulty ratings yet
Gauguin es un juego tipo Sudoku que se resuelve mediante el cálculo y la lógica.

Puedes usarlo para relajarte o resolver la cuadrícula como quieras.

En el modo Clásico, una cuadrícula de 9×9 se resuelve escribiendo un número del 1 al 9 en cada celda de la siguiente manera:
‐ Contener sólo uno de cada número en cada fila o columna.
- Cada jaula tiene un problema matemático determinado. Por ejemplo, se debe llenar un conjunto de celdas etiquetadas como "5+" para que la suma de cada celda sea 5.

Usando las opciones del juego puedes cambiar los números del juego, cambiar a tamaños de cuadrícula más pequeños o más grandes y ocultar operadores.



<b> Interfaz de usuario elegante y moderna
</b>

- No es necesario cambiar al "modo lápiz" ni nada por el estilo: para configurar los números en una cuadrícula, simplemente toque para cambiar un número posible o mantenga presionado para ingresar un número conocido.
- El "Modo de acabado rápido" rellena de forma rápida y precisa una cuadrícula con una marca de lápiz.
- Colores usados del cuadro de Paul Gauguin "La Siesta" (adivina de dónde viene el nombre de esta aplicación...)



<b> Opciones de juego

<b> Cosas aún por hacer</b>

- No todas las variantes de cuadrícula pueden completar los cálculos en un tiempo razonable (por ejemplo, una cuadrícula de 4×8 puede tardar más tiempo del que la batería puede proporcionar)
- Falta un tutorial para nuevos usuarios.
- No todas las variantes del juego ofrecen niveles de dificultad.
